- Are you looking for a server (so you can connect to OS X from e.g. A Windows system) or a client (to connect to a Windows system from OS X)? – nohillside ♦ Mar 28 '14 at 16:30 1 This has not aged well.
- Mavericks offers a lot less resolution options in the 'Scaled' list than 10.8 or earlier did. This can be a particularly severe problem if the resolutions that it thinks your projector supports are not, in fact, supported by it at all, as was the case with my setup. The fix for showing the extended list of possible resolutions in Mavericks is undocumented, so far as I can find, but incredibly easy.
Set the resolution for a connected display If you have more than one display, additional resolution options are available after the display is connected. On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display. Press and hold the Option key while you click Scaled to see additional resolutions for the second display.
God Of Resolution Mac Os X
Hi there jputting,
Pixel pakz (ivan ramadhan) mac os.
I also use switchres x to control the resolution on retina macbooks and macbook pros. Please see the below link which is published by the maker of switchres x. It's not great reading sadly for El Capitan users.
Upon running into this issue myself decided just to downgrade via time machine back to yosemite. Frankly I'd rather have the resolution i want/need so didn't mind going back.
Not sure if there will be a solution to this, however it really should be possible for a user to select any resolution they wish, or allow the apps that fill the gap to work. As you quite rightly point out not everyone fits into one of 4 categories when it comes to display preferences.
I hope there is a solution going forward, I know it's possible to do it with some jiggery-pokery, but not everyone wants to or is comfortable doing so.
